Folic acid belongs to the vitamin B group.

Folic acid tablets can be used:

To treat:

•Anaemia caused by malnutrition or food absorption (such as celiac disease or a digestive disorder)or increased use of folic acid in the body as in pregnancy.

• Folate deficiency caused by certain medications (such as those used to treat epilepsy such as  phenytoin,  phenoprabital  and primidone)
